HARVARD'S SUMMERS IS RIGHT!
MEN ARE TO BLAME FOR SMALL SKULLS/BRAINS OF WOMEN!
100,000 YEARS OF MATE SELECTION BY MEN PREFERING SOFT SMOOTH FLESH(HENCE SOFT PUSSY) WOMEN AND DOCILE WOMEN WHO ARE EASY TO MOUNT DURING SEX RESULTED IN WOMEN WHO ARE PHYSICALLY WEAK AND MENTALLY INFERIOR TO MEN.
ANY WOMEN WHO WAS MUSCULAR/STRONG OR HAD ROUGH/HAIRY SKIN OR WAS TOO SMART WAS EITHER TOO HARD TO MOUNT BECAUSE OF RESISTANCE OR UNPLATABLE FOR SEX.
FACE IT JACK, IT'S THE HARD TRUTH!
HARVARD PRESIDENT SUMMERS IS RIGHT...
MEN'S SELFISH DESIRE FOR SELECTIVE SEX IS RESPONSIBLE FOR WOMEN EVOLVING INTO WHAT THEY ARE TODAY.

Your point is well taken, but I don't quite understand the Greece/Rome metaphor, with Greece as the archetypal land of effete intellectuals. While Rome was aggressive, for most of its history Rome had a professional army -- often composed primarily of foreign mercenaries. In contrast, Socrates wished to be remembered as a hoplite first and a philosopher second.

I'm Spartacus. Spartacus Wellington Fairborne, III.
"America as Rome finds it gauling"? Funny. Also funny, the two larger examples of Rome and Greece: Empire-failure borne of arrogance and overreach, decadence and softness. Ouch, great choices for Columbia.
Don't know much about Rollins besides the music, but we have a glancing familiarity with the military around here and yep, about the same ratios (high) of nutjobs and nincompoops as in other walks of life, except the environment winds them a tad tighter. Now, if we want to get to the nub of things, perhaps the politicos and think tankers who move those warriors around the board dreaming of Vandal hordes, well, I give you Sidney Lumet's complement to Strangelove....
[They are] not normal people . . . they don't reason the way you reason, they're not motivated by human emotions such as rage and pity . . . they are calculating machines, they will look at the balance sheet, and they will see that they cannot win. -- Professor Groeteschele, on winnable nuclear war, Fail-Safe. 1964
