<description>I would like to thank the writer of this blog because I have been searching for this picture for years. It is my understanding that the man sitting to the left of the driver in the German helmet is my grandfather, Joe Elton from Montreal. He was killed in a car accident in the 50s so I never met him. This picture appeared in Macleans years ago but we lost our copy. To have this is a real gift as my first son is named Joseph. I never knoew him but hope a bit of him will be remembered through my son.
